Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Lavrov commented on the statement by US presidential candidate Donald Trump about the need to conclude a “fair deal” to end the war in Ukraine, made after a meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky in New York.

This information was reported by Dialog, which is quoted by “URA-Inform”.

“Trump said some time ago, that he would need 24 hours, now the wording is different. We will be glad to any initiatives that will lead to the desired result. And there can only be one result – the resolution of this problem based on the elimination of the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis,” – Lavrov stated.

In this context, he called on Trump to facilitate the repeal of the laws adopted by Kiev on Ukrainization and the de facto ban on the UOC.

“If Mr. Trump can repeal these laws we are talking about, that will already be a step forward. It would be as easy as pie – just vote” , – Lavrov said.
