Recent Research have refuted the widespread belief that dehydration is the main cause of a hangover and that water helps relieve it.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Science Direct.

Meta-analysis Scientists have shown that dehydration and a hangover, although they can occur simultaneously, are two independent processes. The sensation of thirst associated with alcohol consumption is caused by increased urination as the body eliminates the products of alcohol metabolism. However, this condition is usually short-lived.

< p>Hangover symptoms such as headache and weakness are caused by oxidative stress and inflammation in the body, making hangovers more prolonged and complex. Researchers have stressed that drinking water is not an effective way to cure a hangover, as dehydration and hangover symptoms are linked with different biological mechanisms.

This finding opens up new possibilities for scientific research aimed at creating more effective means of combating hangovers. Drugs aimed solely at eliminating dehydration may not have a significant effect on its symptoms, which requires finding new approaches to solving the problem.

Also, doctors gave an answer to which drink gives a boost of vivacity and energy for the whole day.
