According to the Ukrainian military, this settlement is already facing intense attacks from Russian forces, similar to those that preceded the storming of Ugledar.

A lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign “Alex” noted that this is about Kurakhovo, which is literally being wiped off the face of the earth, as the occupiers are trying to make it unfit for defense in the event of possible military action.
“They don't hit positions so much as they hit to accidentally hit something, like in a naval battle,” he noted.
At the same time, military analysts emphasize the strategic importance of Kurakhovo as a logistics center for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. After the loss of Ugledar, the enemy is trying to create conditions for encircling Kurakhovo. In particular, military observer Denis Popovich reports that the city is being methodically destroyed with the help of aerial bombs and artillery.
Although the enemy has no specific targets, this is preparation for assault actions. The military also believes that the loss of Ugledar has created additional threats for Kurakhovo. The city of Selidovo is also under attack.
«The enemy will most likely try to disrupt logistics routes in order to force Ukrainian troops to leave these positions,» Popovich adds.
The expert also previously spoke about the loss of Ugledar, suggesting that Russia's efforts will now be directed at the two regional centers.
