Many Ukrainians are thinking about how to choose real, fresh meat in the store, because sometimes you come across products treated with chemicals, although they look quite natural.

However, there is a simple and quick way to determine the quality of meat right at the counter in half a minute.

How to check meat for naturalness?

Before going to the store, take a piece of foil (about 10×10 cm) and a toothpick. At the store, ask the salesperson to cut off a small piece of meat, put it on the toothpick and hold it over the foil. Light the piece on fire.

Natural meat will begin to burn at the edges after 15 seconds, light smoke and a smell reminiscent of the aroma of shish kebab will appear. If the meat is treated with chemical additives, the smell will be unpleasant – reminiscent of antibiotics and other chemicals. When burning, the meat will begin to release dark juice, bubble and foam.

This method is suitable for checking all types of meat: beef, pork, lamb and others. An honest seller will not refuse to check, and if the seller doubts the quality of the goods, he will most likely try to avoid the test.
