Russian troops continue active preparations for new assaults in the Orekhovsky and Robotinsky directions in the Zaporizhia region, said the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshin.

«According to intelligence, the enemy is preparing new assault operations near Orekhovo and Robotino, the enemy is throwing personal composition and in a few days, will probably intensify new assaults,» the Ukrainian officer emphasized.
At the same time Voloshin noted that if successful, Russian forces will be able to take fire control of key logistics routes connecting Zaporizhia with the eastern regions of Ukraine, where Ukrainian troops are defending Donetsk and the southern parts of the Zaporizhia region.
In the last 24 hours alone, according to Vladislav Voloshin, Russian troops carried out 400 shellings on populated areas of Zaporozhye and about 300 on positions of Ukrainian troops.
It was also previously reported that British intelligence named the next target of the Russians after the occupation of Ugledar (map).
