The “targeted escalation on the part of the West”, according to him, is the alleged concentration of Ukrainian troops on the border with Belarus and “regular sabotage”. However, Bortnikov did not provide any evidence for his accusations.

He also threatened to expand the combat zone to Moldova and the Baltic states. He also mentioned incidents with Ukrainian drones in Belarus and said that the West was putting pressure on Moldova, seeking to draw Chisinau into an open confrontation with Russia.

« The European Union and NATO link further financial assistance and the prospects for the country's European integration with the inclusion of its territory in the logistics of military supplies to Ukraine and the final resolution of the Transnistrian issue, Bortnikov said.

It was also previously reported that “It's time to end it”: in Russia, a presenter called for an urgent end to the war against Ukraine.
