Russian Roman Burtsev, known as the “double” of American actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who became famous several years ago thanks to his photo on a dating site, has found a new direction in life.

Having failed to find a worthy use for his resemblance to the Hollywood star, a resident of Podolsk signed a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry and went to war against Ukraine.
When Burtsev was first noticed online, his appearance attracted attention due to some resemblance to DiCaprio. When asked about a possible relationship with the actor, Roman joked that even if it was, the documents could have been lost during the revolution.
However, judging by the latest photos, there is almost no resemblance left to the Hollywood star.
“Burtsev became famous in 2016, when, thanks to his resemblance to the Hollywood actor, he was invited to TV, filmed in commercials, and Russian and foreign media wrote about him. Over the years, his popularity faded, he was left without work and made ends meet with part-time jobs at a marketplace and a hardware store. Now he is 41 years old, and he is 8 years younger than the original DiCaprio,” — journalists noted, commenting on Burtsev's appearance today.
