In recent years, on the roads New road signs have appeared in Ukraine and many European countries.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Radiotrek.
One of them is a sign that is a triangle with a red border on a white background, inside which are horizontal lines and part of a car. This sign warns drivers of a potential danger and belongs to the category of warning signs that signal road conditions that threaten safety. The new road sign, officially called P-33, was first introduced in Spain. Its purpose is to warn drivers of limited visibility in certain areas.
Limited visibility can be caused by various factors, such as weather conditions – fog, rain, snow or smoke from fires. The sign is most often found on mountain roads and other areas where visibility may be impaired by fog or heavy precipitation. Its main purpose is to remind drivers of the need to be especially careful, slow down and be prepared for unexpected changes in the road situation.
Drivers are advised to turn on low beam headlights. If visibility becomes critically poor, it is worth using fog lights. Such actions will help ensure safety not only for the driver, but also for other road users.
In Ukraine, there is no similar sign P-33, which warns of limited visibility. In our country, there are only a few signs related to weather conditions, among which the most famous is sign 1.17 “Cross wind”. However, in Ukraine there are many other road signs warning of poor road surface quality. For example, signs from 1.10 to 1.16 indicate various types of road obstacles, such as unevenness, potholes, hills, rock outcrops, dangerous shoulders and slippery areas.
Recall that it was previously reported that the Rada plans to rename kopecks: what name the coins may receive.
