In the modern rhythm life, when stressful situations arise at every step, the search for effective and accessible methods for maintaining emotional balance becomes a priority for many.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the telegram channel “Doctor in the Pocket” .

Unexpectedly, a simple and affordable product – kefir – has become the focus of experts. Scientific research shows that kefir contains probiotics – lactic acid bacteria that not only regulate the intestinal microflora, but also have a complex effect on the nervous system.

According to experts, these microorganisms help reduce the level of cortisol, known as the “stress hormone.”

“Probiotics from kefir actively interact with the “gut-brain” axis, improving overall well-being and preventing the development of anxiety,” notes gastroenterologist Oksana Glushko.

One of the key components of kefir is the amino acid tryptophan – a precursor of serotonin, known as the “hormone of joy.” With sufficient levels of serotonin, a person can more easily endure emotional stress and recover more quickly from stressful events.

Regular consumption of kefir helps maintain the balance of neurotransmitters, which reduces the risk of depression and sleep disorders.

“A glass of kefir before bed is not just a tradition, but a conscious concern for your emotional well-being,” adds nutritionist Anna Polyakova.

The benefits of kefir are not limited to the impact on the psychological state. Evening consumption of this product improves digestion and promotes comfortable sleep. A slight feeling of satiety without overeating helps the body relax, creating favorable conditions for nighttime recovery.

“Kefir is especially effective for those who have trouble falling asleep or restless sleep. It soothes the stomach and starts the body's regeneration processes during rest,” comments therapist Maxim Kovalenko.

In addition, doctors warned about how to understand that a person has a blood clot.
