Republican Donald Trump has a slight advantage over Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. This concerns voters voting early in so-called swing states.
A poll by the Harvard Center for American Policy Research found that 48% of early voters in key states voted for Trump.
At the same time, 47% supported his Democratic opponent, Harris, and another 5% of respondents said they chose another option or had not yet voted. Also, among all swing voters in the states, 48% supported Trump versus 46% who supported Harris, the poll shows.
But the vice president pulled ahead by 8 percentage points among early voters nationwide, taking 51% of the vote to Trump's 43%. Overall, 45% of voters said they would vote early, compared with 50% planning to vote on Election Day, Nov. 5.
Polls also showed the White House rivals in close races in Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Pennsylvania and elsewhere, while hitting swing states with rallies and campaign stops.
Nationally, polls show Harris leading Trump by 3 percentage points, with about 50% support to Trump's 47%. And a new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll shows the race even tighter, with Harris leading the Republican by just 1% among registered voters.
It is noted that the poll, conducted October 11-13, involved 3,145 registered voters, including 2,596 likely voters and 898 voters from swing states. The margin of error for the entire sample is +/- 1.8%.
Meanwhile, Trump is again threatening World War III: the dates for its possible start have been named.
