In Ukraine, fuel is being underfilled en masse at gas stations: why this will only gain momentum

Ukrainian drivers have begun to notice that there have been more frequent cases at gas stations where fuel is being underfilled.

URA-Inform reports this with reference to Today.

Experts suggest that the problem will only gain momentum. And this happened because of the bill No. 11416-d on increasing taxes and fees and introducing new taxes, which was adopted in the Verkhovna Rada last week.

“Due to the introduction of a monthly advance payment of income tax from each gas station, which is provided for by law, owners of gas station networks that do not have stores or stores which have poor sales, will try to find ways to “survive” –  explains fuel market expert Dmitry Leushkin.

According to him, it will be difficult for gas station networks without stores to pay the monthly advance payment of income tax from each gas station, but they will not leave the market. Although, the expert notes that some such gas station networks may still have to stop operating.

Therefore, Dmitry Leushkin assumes that gas stations will increasingly underfill fuel,  since they have already exhausted the potential of other methods of deceiving the state. for this reason, underfilling is a quite possible step. The adopted law will soon be signed by the president, then it will be published, and it will come into force.

The Rada also plans to rename the kopecks: what name the coins may receive.
