Mandatory evacuation of population announced from a number of Ukrainian settlements: details

On Tuesday, October 15, the Kharkiv Regional Defense Council made a decision on the forced and mandatory evacuation of all civilians from a number of settlements in the region.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Rbc.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, reported that, in particular, civilians will be evacuated from the city of Kupyansk, which is constantly under enemy fire.

«Today, the regional defense council made a decision on the mandatory evacuation of the entire civilian population from the communities of the Kupyansk direction. This is the city of Kupyansk and three other communities that are closer to the front line,— Sinegubov said.

According to the official, about seven thousand people are subject to mandatory evacuation.

«The evacuation of families with children from the frontline communities of the Kupyansk district continues now. 234 children with their families were evacuated from September 9 to October 14. There are still 35 children to evacuate… We have already evacuated 234 children and their families from the city of Kupyansk and from nearby communities in a month. However, given the military threats, we still decided to completely evacuate the entire civilian population,— Sinegubov noted.

In addition, during a meeting of the Defense Council of the Kharkiv Region, the forced evacuation of families with children was announced in the Borovsk community. There, 119 children from the village of Borovaya are subject to evacuation.

«The community is systematically conducting explanatory work with parents about the need to take children to safe places if possible. There is preliminary information that there are still families who are planning to evacuate from the community in the near future,— the head of the OVA added.
