The press service of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs reported that the Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the grounds for establishing disability in connection with wounds or other health damage received by the civilian population as a result of the war.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

“At the initiative of the Ministry of Veterans, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine amended the “Procedure for establishing a connection between disability and injuries or other health damage” (Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 306). They expand the grounds for establishing a connection between disability and injuries or other health damage received by the civilian population from explosive objects,” the report says.

It is noted that now the status of a person with a disability due to war will be available not only to civilians in the territories where military operations are being (or were) conducted, but also to those who suffered from Russian shelling with explosive objects in other territories controlled by Ukraine. Such facts will be confirmed by the local territorial body of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“The procedures for obtaining statuses should be simplified as much as possible. This is what our changes are aimed at. Further, there will be more simplifications and opportunities, primarily through the digitalization of processes,” noted the Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Natalia Kalmykova.

A new Ministry may also appear in Ukraine: it became known that the Rada supported it.
