Ukrainians will not be able to top up someone else's card via a terminal: changes from the National Bank

Ukrainians want deprive each other of the opportunity to top up each other's bank cards via a terminal.

The National Bank introduced the corresponding restrictions. The initiators of the idea see the possibility of topping up cards as an intention employers to avoid taxation. In particular, employers themselves or through authorized persons replenish the cards of their employees, and avoid taxation.

“That’s why they want to block such card replenishment,” explained the president of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, Oleksandr Okhrimenko.

According to him, now if someone wants to replenish someone else’s card , you won’t be able to do this for free, because the system controls such operations. And you will have to pay a tax for the transfer, although Okhrimenko did not name the tax amount.

He also noted that you can top up your card at the terminal, but also with certain restrictions. For example, you need to fill out a tax return, this requires a certain amount of effort and time.

Okhrimenko emphasized that the changes in the rules for replenishing cards are intended to strengthen control over financial transactions and ensure a fairer tax system in Ukraine.

It also became known that in Ukraine may begin to be deprived of land rights: a new initiative from the Cabinet of Ministers.
