President Vladimir Zelensky commented on the initiative of Western partners to conduct mobilization in Ukraine from the age of 18.

He added that Western partners are still would like Ukraine to reduce the draft age. However, according to him, “there is a tool for this”, so at the moment the government has no plans to mobilize Ukrainian citizens under 25. At the same time, he noted that the Ministry of Defense can sign contracts with citizens up to 25 years of age.
