President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky stressed that the outcome of the upcoming presidential elections in the United States will be key for the future of Ukraine
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the Financial Times.
He noted that it is not yet clear what proposals Ukraine might receive after the elections, but he sees three possible paths of development. One of them is related to support from allies who have certain concerns. Zelensky also pointed out that the election results will be important not only for Ukraine, but also for its relations with NATO.
“I don't know what the proposal will be to us after the US elections. We see three different paths forward. One is continued support, but with allies who are still wary of certain risks. Depending on who wins the race for the White House, we see two other ways. Will it be more positive? Or less positive? Frankly, I don’t know. And this is very sensitive for our people,” he said.
At the same time, Zelensky did not voice the essence of the two remaining scenarios. However, it can be assumed that this could be either a reduction in support and a forced end to the war (for example, if Trump wins), or a sharp increase in aid (if Harris wins and if she agrees to Zelensky's “victory plan”).
It also became known , that Lukashenko once again made a statement about negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
