Press secretary of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin welcomes German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's readiness to resume dialogue with Russia and considers such statements important.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Glavcom.
< p>Peskov stressed that the dialogue “will never be simple”, however “any war ends at the negotiating table, ends in peace”.
«We hear the words coming from Berlin, — Scholz's words about the readiness to enter into dialogue. These are important words , because until recently Germany was among the other countries of the collective West that completely excluded any contacts with Putin. We have said that this position is hopeless,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
Peskov stressed that Putin has repeatedly confirmed that he is open to communication. “The main thing for us is to resolve our security interests. Actually, what was proposed to be done in the SVO, and what was rejected, Peskov explained. According to him, Germany or other Western countries have not yet initiated contacts with Russia.
