This capsule dated 1924.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to UPI.

A “time capsule” that had been sealed for a century was opened at a ceremony at the National World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City. The capsule, placed in the Freedom Memorial Tower in 1924, was to be opened a century later to commemorate the memorial's dedication.

Removing the capsule over the summer was complicated by the dense layer of limestone and concrete, as well as the nitrate film inside, which is highly flammable.

During the October 16 ceremony, copies of important historical documents were discovered: the U.S. Constitution, the Bible, newspapers, the 1917 announcement of the United States' entry into World War I, and letters from President Calvin Coolidge and Allied commanders who participated in the memorial's dedication in 1921.

Among the finds was also a printing plate of the Kansas City Star newspaper from November 1, 1921. The copper box in which the artifacts were stored also contained engraved signatures that remain unidentified, but are believed to belong to the team that created the capsule.

Recall that it was previously reported that Ukraine will switch its clocks to winter time for the last time: when and why academics are unhappy.
