On October 18, CNN reported that classified documents dated October 15-16 had become publicly available.
URA-Inform reported this with reference to CNN.
They are marked “top secret” and are intended for a limited number of states that are part of the Five Eyes intelligence alliance (the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Great Britain).
The documents show that Israel is preparing to strike Iran in response to the missile attack. The US National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in its report points to the movement of Israeli munitions, while the National Security Agency notes the Israeli Air Force's training flights using air-to-surface missiles. However, according to sources, US intelligence has found no signs of a nuclear strike being prepared.
A US government official confirmed the authenticity of the documents to CNN, noting that the investigation is ongoing. The FBI, Pentagon and other intelligence agencies immediately began searching for those responsible for the leak, conducting an access analysis of the data.
It is worth noting that this incident is becoming especially acute against the backdrop of worsening US-Israeli relations. The leak of Israeli tactical plans threatens to cause serious discontent in Tel Aviv. Mick Mulroy, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, stressed that if the information was indeed disclosed, it would be a “gross violation.”
Recall that it was previously reported why the US does not want to shoot down Russian missiles in the Ukrainian sky: Pentagon clarification.
