Since 2024, pensioners who previously held positions in law enforcement agencies are now required to register for military service and can be called up as part of mobilization activities. This innovation strengthens the country's mobilization reserve and emphasizes the strategic importance of experienced personnel.

The following categories of retired former security officials fall under the new requirements:

Previously, for this category of citizens, registration was voluntary, but with the new changes it has become mandatory.

The changes will affect both active employees of government agencies and those who have already retired from security structures. These measures are aimed at strengthening defense capability in the context of the need to quickly expand mobilization potential.

The Ministry of Defense has set July 16, 2024 as the deadline for updating the data. All conscripts, including retired law enforcement officers, are required to update their information

Against this backdrop, Korchinsky managed to speak out about lowering the draft age.
