Two Ukrposhta branches set on fire in Kyiv: incident linked to summonses

Twitter LinkedIn

Unknown in Kyiv set fire to two Ukrposhta branches, probably in protest against the delivery of summonses to conscripts, which postmen deliver on behalf of territorial recruitment centers (TRC).

This was reported by URA-Inform with a link to the writer Andriy Kokotyukha.

Writer Andriy Kokotyukha said that the entrance doors to the branches were doused with fuel oil and set on fire, and that postal workers associate the incident with the distribution of subpoenas. “Ukrposhta” has not yet provided official comment.

«They set fire to our department « Ukrposhta. They poured fuel oil on the doors and set them on fire. At the same time, another branch in the area was also on fire. At the post office, they told me: this is because the post office carries subpoenas from the TCC. I don’t know how the postmen found out about this. Perhaps there was some kind of warning. Perhaps one of the versions. But while the mail has not brought subpoenas, there really have been no arsons, he noted.

Kokotyukha expressed concern that such attacks could become more frequent, as has already happened with car arsons military personnel. He also noted that cases of arson and damage to infrastructure, including railways, are becoming more frequent, indicating threats even in rear cities due to Russian agents and night drone attacks.

It also became known , who forms the lists of those who will first receive summonses by mail: and this is not the TCC.
