Secretary of the National Council Security and Defense Minister Alexander Litvinenko reported that the Ukrainian Defense Ministry plans to mobilize another 160,000 people into the Armed Forces.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Alexey Goncharenko.

According to him, this will allow the military units to be fully staffed. At the same time, Litvinenko noted that a total of 1 million 50 thousand citizens were called up to the Defense Forces.

«It is planned to call up another 160 thousand people. This will make it possible to staff the units up to 85%,» said Litvinenko.

In turn, The Times previously reported that Ukraine intends to mobilize another 200 thousand recruits by the end of 2024. However, they noted that the implementation of these plans looks doubtful.

It is worth recalling that on October 28, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense supported the bills submitted by President Volodymyr Zelensky on extending martial law and general mobilization for 90 days .

It also became known that Ukraine approved the strengthening of military registration: Umerov warned what this means.
