The Ukrainian Business Council, which unites 120 business associations and 28 thousand companies, came up with the idea of introducing the principle of priority mobilization.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to the “Ukrainian Business Council”.
They believe that this can significantly improve the quality of the armed forces personnel. It is proposed that during mobilization, first of all, citizens with good military training and health are called up. Here is how it is planned to do it:
First priority
Military pensioners aged 45 to 60. There are currently about 150,000 such pensioners in the country, including those who are not disabled and do not serve. Their mobilization does not require additional training, because they already have experience.
Second line
Actual law enforcement officers – police officers, security services and others. There are about 40,000 of them. If they are called up, then their places can be replaced by citizens who have undergone training.
Third line
Unemployed persons registered with the Employment Center for more than 6 months.
The transition to the next queue will occur only after 80% of the previous ones are mobilized. According to the Council, this can significantly simplify the process of training and education of new military personnel, as well as attract more qualified personnel to the army.
In addition, businesses are confident that this approach will be supported by society. They call on the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada to hold professional discussions and amend the legislation:
«This gap can be resolved by legislatively defining the order of mobilization, which in turn will contribute to more effective provision of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with qualified military personnel and will have the support of society».
As mobilization in Ukraine continues: the National Security and Defense Council has revealed how many more people they plan to recruit into the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
