Russian troops may reach the borders of the Dnepropetrovsk region, believes military-political analyst Alexander Kovalenko.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Donpress.

According to Kovalenko, the enemy is already near Pokrovsk, and Dnipropetrovsk region begins just 27-28 kilometers from there.

«And I'm not saying that the occupiers cannot go out and enter the border of Dnipropetrovsk region. Anything is possible,» he said.

The expert noted that it is unknown how much longer the defense in Pokrovsk will hold out:

Pokrovsk can hold the defense throughout 2025. This can be influenced by various factors.

At the same time, Kovalenko added that the attention to the Novosilka and Vremovsky direction remains insufficient. He emphasized that enemy forces are capable of breaking through the administrative borders of the Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions in the Novosilka area.

Here, Russian occupiers have less opportunity to break through the administrative border of the Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions to Dnipropetrovsk region than from Pokrovsk. And in fact, they are now approximately 11 kilometers from the border of Dnipropetrovsk region,” Kovalenko added.

Recall that earlier it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are calling for the defense of Dnipropetrovsk region: Zhorin's official statement.
