How to recognize a pre-infarction condition: the main symptoms are named

Some symptoms may indicate an approaching heart attack, and if they appear, it is important to consult a doctor.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Uapress.

Chest pain or discomfort

Dr. Tom Mitchell explains that not all chest pain indicates a heart attack, and sometimes a heart attack can occur without pain. However, discomfort in the chest area is one of the most common signals of an impending heart attack. If you experience such symptoms, it is recommended to seek emergency medical attention.

“The heart is supplied with blood by coronary arteries, which can become blocked by a buildup of plaque, a condition known as coronary artery disease. Blockage of these arteries can cause chest pain,” the specialist explained.

Shortness of breath

The heart is a muscle that needs a constant supply of oxygen. A lack of oxygen can weaken the heart muscles, leading to shortness of breath and difficulty breathing, Dr. Mitchell adds.

Nausea

Nausea and vomiting are also typical signs of a heart attack, especially in women. This may be due to a blockage of the right coronary artery, which supplies blood to the stomach and intestines.

Sweating for no apparent reason

If profuse sweating suddenly begins, especially with chest pain and shortness of breath, this may indicate heart problems.

Dizziness and confusion

A sudden drop in blood pressure caused by a blockage of the coronary artery may be accompanied by dizziness, loss of concentration, and even nausea.

Recall that earlier it was reported how to understand that there are problems with the liver: doctors said what ailments to pay attention to.
