Trump Develops 'Peace Plan' for Ukraine: WSJ Reveals What It Includes

In the administration of the president-elect Donald Trump's US is considering various options for ending the war in Ukraine.

One of the proposed peace plans includes the creation of a demilitarized zone along the line of contact between the parties. According to the American publication WSJ, citing sources, the plan consists of three key points.

First, it is proposed to freeze the current front line and create a demilitarized zone on it. Who will be responsible for it? security is still unknown, but according to one source, there are no plans to involve US and UN troops.

«We are not sending Americans to keep the peace in Ukraine. And we will not pay for it. Ask the Poles, Germans, English and French to do it», — said the publication's source.

Secondly, Ukraine will have to refuse to join NATO for at least 20 years.

The third point provides for further support for Ukraine with weapons and military training from USA.

At the same time, WSJ sources note that Trump has not yet made a final decision on the plan to resolve the war in Ukraine.
