It is noted that these munitions operate on a single-stroke principle, unlike previous two-stroke models, where the explosive substance was first sprayed and then detonated.

«At the same time, in modern single-stroke ammunition, after the initiator is detonated, the shock wave causes the movement of the thermobaric mixture, which interacts with the air and with itself to form a «fire cloud» with a temperature of 2400-2600 degrees. It «»spreads» over the entire area and a shock wave that affects the lungs, hearing organs, and the like,— the publication writes.

In closed spaces, thermobaric charges are most dangerous, since they form a fire cloud that fills several rooms. Thus, even observing the «two walls» rule may not save you from the thermobaric effect, because the shock wave and cloud can fill the entire apartment.

«That is why, to this well-known rule that if there is no opportunity to go to shelter, you must be in a room that is separated from the street by at least two walls, it is possible to add another rule – to close the interior doors. This will create a conditional separation of rooms and to a certain extent reduce the spread of the thermobaric mixture throughout the apartment», – analysts write.

At the same time, the Russian Federation is pinpointing Ukrainian energy with drones: the CPD named the enemy's target.
