How to detect the onset of gallstone disease: what symptoms indicate the disease

Twitter LinkedIn

Doctors have explained the symptoms by which one can recognize the onset of gallstone disease.

This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to 24.kyiv.

Doctors remind that gallstones can provoke inflammation, sharp pain and infections. Among the risk factors for the occurrence of gallstone disease are obesity, diabetes, genetic predisposition and taking estrogen-containing drugs.

Acute abdominal pain

A sharp, severe pain in the upper right part of the abdomen that does not go away for a long time may indicate an attack of gallstone disease. It is dangerous to ignore such pain, so if it appears, you should immediately consult a doctor.

Recurring pain

Sometimes gallstone disease manifests itself in periodic pain that subsides and then resumes. This is due to the movement of stones in the gallbladder and their possible exit beyond it.

Pain after fatty foods

Foods high in fat, such as fish, cheese or chocolate, stimulate the release of a hormone that activates gallstones. As a result, there is a feeling of compression and pain.

Changes in the color of urine and stool

Light stool and dark urine can be signs of gallstone disease, since disturbances in the outflow of bile lead to a change in the color of the discharge.

Recall that earlier it was reported about the dangerous signs of a weakened heart: what changes in the body cannot be ignored.
