Experienced gardeners told what needs to be done to make the stump rot quickly.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to Рixelinform.
Stump removal on the site can be done independently, however, a simple cut chainsaw to ground level does not solve the problem completely: the wood will still remain in the soil, which will not allow this place to be used effectively for planting.
To get rid of the stump completely, it is better to speed up the process of its natural decomposition.
How to speed up the decomposition of a stump:
1. Make deep holes over the entire surface of the cut.
2. Fill the holes with urea (carbamide).
3. Water the stump and cover it with plastic to create a humid environment.
After a few months, the wood will become soft and the stump will be easier to remove in the spring. As an alternative to urea, sodium or potassium nitrate can be used.
