According to the newspaper WP, the topic of possible territorial concessions to Ukraine is beginning to be discussed more openly among European diplomats and no longer causes the same level of hostility.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to WP.

In the article talks about the possible end of the war on the principle of “territory in exchange for security”, that is, it is assumed that Ukraine may make concessions to Russia to ensure security.

Referring to sources among European and NATO diplomats, the publication notes that such discussions are no longer marginal, and after Donald Trump's victory in the US elections they have become even more relevant, as he did not rule out supporting an agreement under which the Russian Federation would be able to retain control over part of Ukrainian territory.

Former Ambassador France in the US Gerard Araud noted in a commentary for WP that such an approach is now being discussed in diplomatic circles, although it is difficult to admit this publicly, since it would look like encouraging aggression.

At the same time, European allies believe that Kyiv must receive security guarantees that will strengthen it defense capability. The question of starting the negotiation process is becoming increasingly urgent, and experts suggest that it may begin sooner than expected. However, according to WP, the West insists that Moscow must also make significant concessions to conclude an agreement.

Against this backdrop, Musk said he would be in Ukraine after the war: businessman on the US's special decision.
