Newly elected US President Donald Trump said that the war between Ukraine and Russia must end, and that it will be a priority for his administration.

In During an event in Florida, Trump noted that the United States would work persistently with Ukraine and Russia. The Republican also expressed regret over the loss of life as a result of military action in Ukraine.
Trump added that he regretted people who die in the war in Ukraine, regardless of whether they are “soldiers or people who live in cities.”
“We will work very hard on Russia and Ukraine. This must stop. I saw the messages, thousands of people have been killed in three days, they were soldiers. But whether it's soldiers or people in the cities, we're going to work on it (ending the war – Ed.),” Trump said, speaking at his residence at a meeting with politicians and leaders of a number of countries.
