Body temperature changes during the day, varying within two degrees.

According to updated WHO data, normal body temperature is in the range from 35.5 to 37.2 °C. This indicator may depend on gender, age and climatic conditions. For example, in women, two weeks before the onset of menstruation, the temperature can drop to 36.2-36.5 °C. ;

Normal body temperature in the armpit:

— in infants – 36.8 °C; 

— for children under 3 years old – 37.4 °C;

— for children under 6 years old – 37.0 °C; 

— for adults under 65 years old – 36.8-36.9 °C; 

— for people over 65 years old – 36.3 °C. 

It is worth noting that if the body temperature drops to 29.5 °C, a person may lose consciousness, and if it drops below 26 ,5 °C is fatal. 

These data confirm that body temperature is an important indicator of health, and any deviations from the norm require attention.
