Veterinarians revealed why cats sometimes avoid certain people.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Ukr.media.

They noted that cats are independent animals and have a unique sensitivity and can form negative attitudes toward people based on past experiences. According to experts, traumatic events leave an imprint on cats' memories, and they can associate specific features of appearance or behavior with a threat.

Cats are also acutely sensitive to human energy. Fussy, noisy or nervous people make them uncomfortable, as these animals need a sense of peace and security. Aggressive or impatient individuals often end up on the cat's “black list”.

In addition In addition, cats understand body language very well. Direct eye contact, abrupt gestures or attempts to invade their personal space can be perceived as aggression. These animals prefer calm and respectful people who do not violate their boundaries.

Smell is also important: strong aromas, such as citrus, or the strong smell of another animal can make the cat keep its distance. Such aromas she perceives it as a threat or a sign of an alien, veterinarians clarify.
