Atypical symptoms of heart attack in women named: what to pay attention to

Twitter LinkedIn

The survey showed that more than 10% of women consider heart attacks to be predominantly a male disease.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Espreso.tv.

The study showed that millions of women do not know the most typical symptoms of heart attacks. These include, for example, sweating or dizziness. Millions of women have no idea that excessive sweating can be a symptom of heart attacks.

This is the conclusion reached by British researchers after surveying over 2,000 women. It turned out that only 57% of them had heard that excessive sweating can indicate a heart attack. About 59% know that mild dizziness can also signal a myocardial infarction.

The authors of the survey note that there is a prejudice among women that they are less likely to have heart attacks. Not only is this not true, but it can also lead to the most tragic consequences if women do not know about all the symptoms of a dangerous disorder in the heart.

Many of us have heard that the main symptom of a heart attack is severe chest pain. Unfortunately, this symptom does not appear so often in women. That is why you need to pay attention to other signs, including coughing, shortness of breath, excessive sweating, abdominal pain, and even diarrhea. Heart attacks are usually caused by coronary artery disease, which can be triggered by hypertension, diabetes or smoking.

It will also be useful to learn about vitamins that slow down aging: doctors said that you need to add to your diet.
