In December 2024 state-owned company Ukrposhta will begin making payments of the so-called “winter support”.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the official website of Ukrposhta.
This initiative will cover about 2 million pensioners and people with disabilities of groups I and II, providing them with a one-time financial assistance in the amount of 1000 hryvnia. Financial assistance will be paid simultaneously with pensions and social benefits.
This is possible thanks to a wide network of stationary and mobile branches companies, as well as the work of postmen.
The list of recipients is compiled by the Ministry of Social Policy. Citizens included in this list will not be able to submit an application through the “Diia” application. However, in December, “Ukrposhta” will begin accepting applications for those who were not included in the preliminary list. Detailed instructions will be published on the company's official resources.
It is known that this initiative is aimed at supporting the most vulnerable segments of the population in the winter period, when the costs of heating and other household needs increase significantly.
