Retired American general Keith Kellogg will take over the position of special representative for the war in Ukraine.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Donald Trump.

Future White House chief Donald Trump reported this on his social network X. The Republican is confident that Keith Kellogg “has an outstanding military and business career behind him,” as well as experience in the field of national security.

“Together, we will secure peace through strength and make America and the world safe again!” – Donald Trump said in a statement.

Kellogg's position on the war in Ukraine

Kellogg, who served as the White House National Security Council chief of staff during Trump’s 2017-21 term and as national security adviser to then-Vice President Mike Pence, would play a central role in trying to resolve the conflict.

Kellogg’s plan to end the war, which began when Russia invaded sovereign Ukraine, would freeze the front lines at their previous positions and force Kyiv and Moscow to negotiate.

Kellogg developed his Ukraine plan with Fred Fleitz, who also served as Trump’s National Security Council chief of staff. According to their proposed strategy, the United States would tell Ukraine that it would receive more American weapons only if it entered into peace talks.

At the same time, the United States would warn Moscow that any refusal to negotiate would result in increased U.S. support for Ukraine. At the same time, Ukraine's membership in NATO would be removed from the agenda for the near future.

At the same time, Biden's plan for Ukraine failed: Western media found out what the president wanted to do.
