Unusual symptoms indicating problems with blood vessels and heart: what should not be ignored

Twitter LinkedIn

Doctors noted that heart problems do not always manifest with typical chest pain.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Ua-novosti.

Less obvious symptoms may also indicate problems with the cardiovascular system:

Swelling

The appearance of fluid in the tissues, especially in the ankle area, may indicate heart failure. With such swelling, it is important to see a doctor as soon as possible.

Headaches

Persistent or severe headaches may be a sign of an impending stroke or aneurysm. If they are accompanied by weakness resembling the flu, this may indicate that the heart is working under strain.

Pain in the stomach

Discomfort similar to gastritis is often an early sign of heart problems, as cardiologists note.

Dizziness

If it recurs regularly, it is worth checking the heart, as this may be due to problems with the heart valves.

Blood pressure surges

A sharp and frequent drop in blood pressure may indicate dysfunction of the mitral valve.

A feeling of heaviness in the back

Many people who have had a heart attack describe a feeling of pressure in the upper body, as if a heavy weight was placed on the chest or back.

The appearance of one or more of these symptoms is a reason to immediately see a doctor for a heart examination.

It will also be useful to find out whether it is safe for the heart to sleep on the left side: doctors have debunked a well-known myth.
