Rejuvenate skin better than Botox: doctor says what foods should be in the diet

The famous American doctor Eric Berg noted that with age, wrinkles appear due to a decrease in the level of collagen in connective tissues.

This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to Eric Berg.

The specialist explained that a number of factors, such as ultraviolet radiation, some antibiotics, excessive sugar consumption and an unbalanced diet, contribute to the destruction of collagen and accelerate the aging process.

Collagen is a key protein that provides strength and structure to skin, bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. The body synthesizes it from amino acids found in food, but this ability gradually declines after age 20. According to him, by age 40, the body loses about 25% of its collagen.

Dr. Berg notes that physical activity is one of the best ways to stimulate collagen production. He recommends planks, eccentric exercises, and sprints.

Vitamin C is also important for collagen production, and can be found, for example, in sauerkraut, one of the best sources of this vitamin.

Another important element is vitamin K2, which supports healthy skin. It is found in liver, egg yolks, and butter.

The doctor also highlights vitamin D, which helps prevent collagen loss, and zinc, which is necessary for wound healing and improving skin condition. Its sources are oysters, red meat and liver.

Recall that earlier it was reported about vitamins that slow down aging: doctors said that it is necessary to add to the diet.
