Germany made a statement regarding Ukrainian refugees: what Scholz called for

Twitter LinkedIn

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called on Ukrainian refugees who have been in the country for a long time to find employment as quickly as possible.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to N-tv.

He stated that refugees should start looking for work immediately after completing language courses. At the same time, Scholz noted that Berlin should work to ensure that as many refugees from Ukraine and other countries as possible look for work in Germany.

“Too many of them have been here so long that it's time for them to start working,” he added.< /p>

According to the politician, the measures previously introduced by the government, which were aimed at “stimulating employment,” turned out to be insufficiently effective. Scholz also stressed that he discussed this issue in detail with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to Kyiv.

“Zelensky told me that he wants to create a Ukrainian institution in Germany and Poland that will support Ukrainians in returning or finding employment in Germany, so that we can work together in this direction,” the German Chancellor noted.

Meanwhile, it became known how many people currently live in Ukraine: the ombudsman announced sad data.
