Some member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance have already begun discussing various scenarios for ending the war in Ukraine.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Bloomberg.

In particular, as noted in the Bloomberg publication, politicians are considering the possibility of providing Ukraine with security guarantees that would protect it, but would not provoke Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to further aggression.

Thus, one possible ceasefire option is the creation of a demilitarized zone. As one senior NATO diplomat noted, in the event of a ceasefire, European troops would likely guard Ukraine.

At the same time, another official told reporters that discussions about ending the war began amid “a recognition that the situation in Ukraine is fragile and that negotiations must begin soon.”

“For European allies, the scenarios also offer an opportunity to show Trump that they can remain relevant if ceasefire talks eventually take shape,” — the report says.

In addition, according to the publication, NATO and EU countries are currently focused on ensuring that Ukraine has a better position to counter Russian attacks or to hold peace talks.

At the same time, the American general predicted that this will be a turning point in Ukraine's war against the Russian Federation.
