The rating of cities by the cost of real estate has been published: how many years Ukrainians need to work for an apartment

This became known from a study by the LUN City resource, which compared data on average salaries in different cities of Ukraine and the average cost of apartments, after which it calculated the “index of the cost of apartments in average salaries.”

“To do this, we took the average cost of a one-room apartment in each regional center of Ukraine and divided it by the amount of the local average annual salary,” notes “LUN Gorod.”

Cost of one-room apartments

The most affordable housing is in Kherson, where the average price of a one-room apartment is 15 thousand dollars. With an average monthly salary of 19 thousand hryvnia, you will need to work 2.8 years to buy such a purchase. The least affordable are apartments in Lviv, where the average cost of a one-room apartment is 65 thousand dollars. At the same time, the average salary in this city reaches 22.5 thousand hryvnia. As a result, Lviv residents need to work for 10 years to buy such an apartment.

In particular, Kyiv residents will have to work for more than eight years to buy a one-room apartment, because the average salary in the city is 25 thousand hryvnia, and the cost of a one-room apartment is 60 thousand dollars.
