Minister of Defense of Poland Marcin Kosiniak-Kamysz expressed serious concern about the changing situation at the front and the moral state of Ukrainian society.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the Politika Strany telegram channel.
In a recent interview, he noted the sharp acceleration of the Russian offensive:
“The situation on the front has changed dramatically. The Russians are demonstrating incredible speed of advance, recapturing territories faster than in the whole of 2023”
The minister stressed that such a pace creates significant pressure on both the Ukrainian army and its allies. Kosinyak-Kamysh pointed out that the key challenge for Ukraine remains the fatigue of citizens from the war.
“People are tired. This concerns both civilians and those on the front lines. Fewer and fewer volunteers are joining the army, and desertion rates are growing. This is an alarming signal that cannot be ignored,” he said.
This fatigue is also manifested in a decrease in public involvement in preparing for war, which also affects the effectiveness of defense.
In addition, the minister noted that in the current situation, coordination with international partners is especially important. He stressed that Poland continues to support Ukraine, but the situation requires more active action from the entire West. Kosinyak-Kamysh also called for the development of new strategies to stabilize the morale of Ukrainians, including information work and social programs to support the military and their families.
Against this backdrop, the Russian Federation made a new decision on nuclear weapons.
