President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in once again confirmed the country's principled position regarding the occupied territories.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to the interview of the leader of the Ukrainian state for CBN News.
Zelensky stated that recognizing these territories as Russian is not only legally impossible, but also morally unacceptable.
«How can we recognize that land of ours in the Russian way? This means forgiving all their crimes. This is legally impossible», Zelensky emphasized.
He recalled that such actions would effectively legitimize the occupation and give Russia carte blanche to continue its aggression.
However, the president also noted that diplomacy remains a key tool for achieving sustainable peace. Moreover, he said that Ukraine is not against a quick end to the war, but on “adequate” conditions.
«We must use all available mechanisms to achieve goals that will ensure the security of our country and people,» Zelensky added.
According to him, Ukraine's goals are unchanged: restoring territorial integrity, protecting citizens and creating conditions for long-term stability.
Recognizing territories for Russia not only contradicts international law, but also threatens the entire architecture of global security.
Thus, Ukraine continues to focus the attention of the world community on the need for joint efforts to counter the aggressor.
In addition, it is worth noting that in Ukraine, banks now also have a new memorandum on card transfers.
