Instructor pilot and retired Ukrainian Armed Forces Colonel Roman Svitan stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin immediately needs recognition of Ukraine's capitulation.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Roman Svitan.
To this end, the Kremlin is trying to squeeze the Ukrainians and the West with terrorist methods.
“Regardless of whether Putin is spreading another horror story, the Russians can strike with ballistics at any moment. We have a big problem with this type of missile. Right now, the most frightening missile for us is not the Oreshnik or even the Kinzhal, since the takeoff of the MiG-31 can be tracked, but the Iskander, which flies in a matter of minutes,” Svitan emphasized.
According to the military expert, all the fuss around the Oreshnik missile is being spun as an information and psychological operation by the Kremlin. After all, Russia has more than a dozen medium-range and intercontinental ballistic missiles that are much more powerful than the Oreshnik missile. For example, the Voevoda, Rubezh, Topol-M, and Sarmat.
“Technically, the Russians can use them, but they are unlikely to do so in practice, since it is too expensive, and there is no effect without the use of a nuclear warhead,” Svitan noted.
The issue of the Oreshnik missile has been raised once again. First, the Russians showed it off by striking the Dnieper, and now they are starting to scare people with the image. According to him, threats of a repeat strike with the Oreshnik missile are purely FSB approach of Russia to put psychological pressure where the aggressor country physically cannot do anything.
