China May Put Pressure on Russia After the War Ends: The US Will Need to Fulfill 2 Conditions

Political scientist Igor Reiterovich believes that, despite the complicated relations between the US and China, Beijing is expressing interest in cooperating with Donald Trump to jointly put pressure on the Kremlin.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to 24tv.

However, to implement this initiative, the future US administration will have to fulfill two important conditions. The political scientist noted that China seeks recognition of its role on the world stage and the absence of trade conflicts. According to him, Beijing expects the following from the United States:

1. Recognition of equality. Washington must officially recognize China's influence and offer joint efforts to put pressure on Russia.

2. Removal of trade restrictions. Trump, starting his presidential term, could focus on interaction with other countries, and reach agreements with China in the economic sphere.

“I would not be surprised if Trump, despite his «anti-Chinese» rhetoric during the election campaign, may change its position and have common approaches with China, he emphasized.

Reiterovich also noted that the change in the future US president's approach to China may be connected with the understanding that in the short term, there are simply no other effective mechanisms for influencing the aggressor country.

Also, Trump's man will visit Ukraine: the source said who it is and what will be decided.
