From January 1 In 2025, new requirements for retirement will come into force in Ukraine, in particular for those who plan to retire at 60 or 63 years old.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine reminded that from January 1, Ukrainians aged 60 years need at least 32 years of insurance experience to qualify for a pension. This requirement applies to both men and women. For persons with 22 to 31 years of insurance experience, retirement will be possible at 63 years.
At the same time, the requirements for retirement at 65 years will remain unchanged. Citizens with an insurance experience of 15 to 21 years, as before, will have the right to a pension at this age. The retirement age threshold of 60 will be increased annually until 2028.
Currently, Ukrainians need at least 35 years of insurance experience to retire at 60. In addition, from January 1, 2028, the right to persons with 40 or more calendar years of insurance experience, regardless of age, will receive an old-age pension.
It is noted that these updates are part of a broader pension reform in Ukraine, which is aimed at gradually increasing the required insurance experience.< /p>
It also became known that the poverty level in Ukraine is rapidly growing: in which regions is it the most.
