Head of Sector Vladimir Monukalo, head of defense and mobilization work at Sumy TCC, explained why age matters.

URA-Inform reports this with reference to Vladimir Monukalo.

He noted that young and healthy Men under 45 are a priority for assault units. But older men are offered less dynamic, but no less important areas: artillery, engineering troops, support units. However, according to Monukalo, everything depends on the state of health and the results of the medical examination.

He also emphasized that people over 45 years of age do not undergo a medical examination for service in paratroopers, special forces or marines. Therefore, their service there is impossible. Thus, according to changes in the rules of military medical examination, persons over 45 years of age no longer receive a referral for a medical examination for service in some elite units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces:

— airborne assault troops,

— special forces,

— marines,

— submarine and surface fleet.

“Without a medical examination, service in these units is impossible. The decision on who and where to send , is accepted only at the level of the TCC and depends on the physical capabilities of the mobilized person,” Monukalo summarized.

Recall that it was previously reported in which region the most complaints are made about the actions of the TCC: Lubinets’ response.
