Deployment of peacekeepers to Ukraine: German parliament comes up with unexpected initiative

Twitter LinkedIn

Party security policy CDU Roderich Kiesewetter believes that there is no alternative to the deployment of Bundeswehr soldiers in Ukraine after the end of the war.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Schwaebische.de.

He is convinced that Germany is obliged to get involved in Ukraine in time “with well-equipped troops”, and to exclude this would be negligence.

“As the strongest economic country in Europe, Germany must be prepared to make a major contribution to peace and the European security architecture,” — said Kiesewetter.

He noted that Germany's participation should take place within the framework of the EU and NATO, since “the nuclear protective shield also concerns Ukraine.”

At the same time, the chairman The European Parliament's Defence Committee member Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann (FDP) has refused to participate in the German mission to Ukraine.

“In future peace talks, neither Russia nor the US should make decisions based on the heads of Europe alone. The EU itself must take responsibility. More can only be said after the fighting is over,” &#8212 ; she said.

Recall that earlier it was reported that Zelensky had a closed meeting: an insider revealed what was decided on Ukraine.
