Cabinet of Ministers 31 December appointed a new head of the State Tax Service.

He is the former head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko.

“The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Ruslan Andreevich Kravchenko as Chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine,” the statement reads.
What is known about Ruslan Kravchenko
Kravchenko was born on March 14, 1990, in the city of Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. From 1997 to 2005, he studied at comprehensive secondary school No. 8 in his hometown. In 2005, he entered the Kiev Military Lyceum named after Ivan Bohun.
Then he entered the military law faculty of the National University “Yaroslav the Wise Law Academy of Ukraine”, where he studied from 2007 to 2012 and received a master's degree in complete higher education in the specialty “jurisprudence” and the military rank of lieutenant of justice.
Already on August 15, 2012, Ruslan Kravchenko was appointed to the position of investigator of the Sevastopol prosecutor's office, where he participated in activities to ensure compliance with the laws in the military sphere of the Crimean region of Ukraine. A year later, Kravchenko was promoted to the position of senior investigator, where he worked until the occupation of the peninsula in 2014.
In 2014, he was appointed as a senior prosecutor of the Rivne and then Lviv prosecutor's office for supervision of compliance with laws in the military sphere of the Western region of Ukraine. From 2015 to 2019, he worked in the Main Military Prosecutor's Office of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
From 2019 to 2020, he served as Deputy Military Prosecutor of the Central Region of Ukraine, and was later transferred to the position of Prosecutor of the Department of Procedural Guidance and Supervision of Compliance with Laws in the Conduct of Operational-Investigative Activities of the Department of Organization of Procedural Guidance, Supervision of the Execution of Court Decisions.
From 2020 to 2021, Kravchenko worked as the Head of the Department of Procedural Guidance for Criminal Proceedings on Crimes in the Sphere of the Defense-Industrial Complex of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Military and Defense Spheres of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
In 2021, Ruslan Kravchenko headed the Bucha District Prosecutor's Office of the Kyiv Region, and from March 31, 2022, he recorded and investigated war crimes committed by Russian occupiers in the city of Bucha. Later, in April 2023, according to Zelensky's decree, he was appointed chairman of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
However, on December 28, 2024, the government supported the draft presidential decree on Kravchenko's resignation from the post of head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
