North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has introduced new repressions for citizens. In particular, from now on, residents of the DPRK are prohibited from selling and consuming hot dogs.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the New Zealand Herald.
“Kim has banned North Koreans from eating hot dogs as part of a crackdown on Western culture that is slowly seeping into the nation – a hermit,” the statement said.
The DPRK leader explained his decision by saying that hot dogs are too Western a dish and do not correspond to the country's socialist values. Consequently, the consumption and sale of hot dogs is now considered treason, and violators can be deported to labor camps.
